1. What is VPO?

VPO (Victim Protection Order) is a service through which persons seeking a restraining order can register for automated notification when a temporary restraining order (TRO) has been served or firearms have been surrendered.

Telephone Registration
You can use the telephone to search for and register to receive notification of when a TRO has been served or firearms have been surrendered by calling 855-948-7648.

Web Registration
You can search for and register to receive notification about when a TRO has been served or firearms surrendered via VINELink at www.vinelink.com.

2. Do I subscribe to or pay for this service?

VINELink is not a paid service. it is completely FREE to the public.

3. How do I search to see if a temporary restraining order (TRO) has been served or firearms surrendered?

To use VINELink to search for service status or firearm surrender status, please follow these steps:

1. Go to www.vinelink.com


2. Enter the 12 digit WCAP case number. The case number will be the year, followed by the letters CV or FA, and then six numbers. For example: 2013CV000065.


3. Enter the respondent First Name.


4. Enter the respondent Last Name.


5. Enter the County of Issuance, then click Search.

To use VINELink to register to receive notification about service and firearm surrender status, please follow these steps:

1. Complete steps 1 through 5 above.


2. Click on the R+ icon under the Add Registration column next to the appropriate case.


3. Complete the required information for registration.


4. Click Add

4. If there is a firearm restriction will I always be notified when the firearms have been surrendered?

If an injunction is issued at your hearing, it may have a firearms restriction. If it does, you will be notified when the respondent surrenders any firearms to local law enforcement. The respondent may be able to surrender firearms to a third party, in which case you will not be notified. Please be aware that not all orders have a firearm restriction.

5. What is the 'Caller ID' number and 'Sender Email' address?

When you receive a notification from VINE, you will see the following telephone number on your caller ID: 502-213-2798. If you register for email notification, you will receive a message from the following email address: vine@globalnotifications.com
