Inmate Funds

  • All money received for or from an inmate will be deposited into a Trust Account.
  • Money in this account will be subject to payment for all Jail fees and services and any other expenses incurred while the inmate is incarcerated.
  • Inmates may use available funds to purchase items through the Jail canteen as well as phone cards.
  • Upon release, all remaining funds will go toward any inmate debt. If no debt exists, a check will be written to the inmate and sent to their last known mailing address.
  • Money may be deposited into an inmate’s account using the following methods:
    • Cash - US currency will be accepted by Jail staff or can be sent through the US mail at the sender’s own risk.
    • Money Order/Cashier Check - May be written out to the inmate.
    • Credit/Debit Card - Money may be directly deposited into an inmate’s account using a credit or debit card. This option is provided by Smart Deposit. Deposits through Smart Deposit can be made 24 hours a day online or by telephone. See the Smart Deposit Tab for further instructions.
