Soo Lake Draw Down - Weimers Dam Rehabilitation

 

Water level on Soo Lake will need to be drawn down by up to 4 ½ feet for concrete repair and gate installation as part of the continued rehabilitation of Weimers Dam.  The drawdown will begin on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, necessary water level is anticipated to be reached by Thursday, October 7, 2021, and maintained through the 2021/2022 winter season.  

 

The Department of Natural Resources would like to remind any residents planning to perform shoreline repairs during the drawdown to be sure to acquire proper permitting prior to beginning any repairs.
