Several trail systems in Price County cater to those who wish to explore the region upon snowshoes. Snowshoeing is also allowed to the side of the set tracks on the Solberg Lake/Squaw Creek, Holy Cross, Newman Springs, Wintergreen, Timm's Hill, and High Point cross-country ski trails.  If you are sharing a trail used by cross country skiiers, please do not snowshoe on the tracks used by diagonal skiing. Several trails were recently created for snowshoeing in the Phillips School Forest. Palmquist’s “The Farm” offers snowshoeing on some of their trails as well as other areas of their farm. For those who prefer to travel in undisturbed nature, the Rock Creek, Round Lake, and Oxbo  trails are not groomed and are the perfect place to view winter scenery and wildlife. For the truly adventurous, simply strap on your snowshoes and discover one of the many hiking trails or wildlife areas in the thousands of acres of national, state and county forests located throughout the county.  For more information, visit the following links:  Price County Parks, Flambeau River State Forest, or Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
 
Snowshoeing is allowed on snowmobile trails, but for your safety, be prepared to get off the trail as soon as you hear snowmobiles approaching.
