Big Falls County Park & Campground - 15 acres

Location:   W11337 Big Falls Road, Kennan, WI - Hwy. 8 to County N then south about 10 miles. (Map)

Description:   This scenic river-edge park is located in the southwest corner of Price County along the South Fork of the Jump River. Flanked by tall white and red pine, the Jump River cascades around huge granite rocks and provides viewers with a "wild river" environment. (Park Map)

Facilities include:

.  6-unit campground, no electricity, check-out time is 2 p.m., 30-day limit at any one site, open year round - tents, tent trailers & trailers (no RVs allowed)

Smith Lake County Park & Campground - 300 acres

Location:   N14763 Omaha Road, Park Falls, WI - Hwy. 13 to Park Falls , west about 2 ½ miles on County E, then south about 1 mile on Omaha Road, unpaved. (Map)

Description: This park, located southwest of Park Falls, consists of the forest and lakefront property surrounding Smith Lake, part of the Flambeau River, with river access to two canoe-in campsites (no fee) as well as the park and 30-unit campground. There is access to the 74-mile multi-use Tuscobia State Trail via Omaha Road (approx. 1 mile) with ATV riding allowed May 15 thru Nov. 15 on the 62-mile stretch of trail from Park Falls to Birchwood and snowmobile riding allowed early- to mid-December thru March 31, weather permitting.  Other trail uses include hiking, biking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing. Adjoining this park are 1,000s of acres of industrial forest land and the Flambeau River State Forest . This campground can accommodate RVs, trailers, tent trailers, and tents. There is also access to the Park Falls Tuscobia Trailhead County Park (approx. 4 miles).  (Park Map)

Solberg Lake County Park & Campground - 35 acres

Location:   N10750 Cty. Park Road, Phillips, WI - Hwy. 13 north of Phillips to Old 13 Road, 2 ½ miles on Old 13 Road, then 2 ½ miles on West Solberg Lake Road to the park entrance, located northeast of Phillips (Map)

Description:   A premier northwoods campground and day-use park located on a 35-acre peninsula extending into Solberg Lake . This 60-unit campground accommodates RV's, trailers, tent trailers and tents. Solberg Lake is perfect for fishing, water skiing and swimming.  There is a beautiful beach on the southern most point surrounded by red pine.  The campground usually fills up on weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day & the weeks preceding and following the 4th of July. .  60-unit campground, 54 sites with electrical hookups, year-round - check-out time is 2 p.m., 30-day limit at any one site

.  camp fees required - $25 electric; $20 non-electric (2010 rates)

Timm's Hill County Park - 220 acres

Location:   W3206 County Road RR, Ogema, WI - Hwy. 13 to Ogema, 5 miles east on Hwy. 86, south about a ½ mile on County C, then east about ½ mile on Rustic Road 62. (Map)

Description:   The highest point in the State of Wisconsin at an elevation of 1951.5 feet is located in southeastern Price County. The park gate is open 7:30a.m. - 9:30p.m. approx. May thru Oct.   Bass Lake is completely surrounded by park property, as well as half the shoreline on Timm's Lake.   The entire area is heavily forested with northern hardwoods and is spectacular during the fall color season. Tuscobia Trailhead County Park - 39.58 acres

Location:   N15400 Park Lane, Park Falls, WI - From Hwy. 13 in Park Falls, take County Road E west about 1/2 mile, turn north into the park. (Map)

Description:   This day-use park opened in 2000 and is located on the outskirts of the City of Park Falls.  There are two parking lots providing trail access to the 74-mile multi-use Tuscobia State Trail with ATV riding allowed May 15 thru Nov. 15 on the 62-mile stretch of trail from Park Falls to Birchwood and snowmobile riding allowed early- to mid-December thru March 31, weather permitting.  Other trail uses include hiking, biking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing. A wetland restoration project at the park resulted in a 5-acre pond that is supporting a waterfowl population. (Park Map)

Wisconsin Concrete County Park

Location:  N8236 State Hwy. 13, Phillips, WI - Hwy. 13, one mile south of Phillips. (Map)

Description:   In 1948, at age 63, Price County native Fred Smith began construction of what is known today as Wisconsin Concrete Park. Smith, a lumberjack, tavern owner, farmer, and dance hall musician, created over 200 figures depicting his vision of the local culture and the world.  His work is considered one of America's most unique displays of folk art.  The park is open year-round, 24-hours a day, and is free of charge.  It is recommended that you visit the park during daylight hours.  There is limited lighting after dark. Flambeau River State Forest, 715-332-5271, W1613 County Road W, Phillips, WI - Hwy. 13 to Phillips, then west on Flambeau Avenue/County Road W about 22 miles, just west of the forest headquarters turn south (left) on West Lane Road and go a short distance. The dump station will be to the west (on the right).

Park Falls City Garage, 715-762-3836, 96 Case Avenue, Park Falls, WI - Hwy. 182 east to Case Avenue. Open weekdays and Saturday mornings beginning the second week in May through the first week of October.

Smith Lake Lake County Park, 715-339-6371, N14763 Omaha Road, Park Falls, WI - Hwy. 13 to Park Falls, west 2 ½ miles on County E, then south about 1 mile on Omaha Road. The road is not snowplowed in the winter. Open the first weekend in May thru mid-October.

Solberg Lake County Park, 715-339-6371, N10750 Cty. Park Road, Phillips, WI  - Hwy. 13 north of Phillips, 2 ½ miles on Old 13 Road, 2 ½ miles on West Solberg Lake Road to the park. Open the first weekend in May thru mid-October.
