Yesterday House & Liberty School Open House

The Yesterday House is a log house that was built in 1885 and contains items used by early settlers. Liberty School was built in 1919. In addition, a “Machine Shed” which houses farming and logging equipment used from 1880-1950 has been added to the site. These buildings are overseen by German Settlement History, Inc.  Open to visitors on a regular basis Spring to Fall.

Old Town Hall Museum & Greenfield School Opens for the Summer Season

There is no admission charge. The Old Town Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  It houses artifacts 1879 thru 1930s including logging and household items. The historic, one-room Greenfield School serves as a repository for Price County rural school history.  Tours are also available by appointment.

An affiliate of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, the center is composed of eight buildings used to display artifacts, documents, photographs, and other memorabilia that represent the cultural, ethnic, and historical aspect of past eras representing several ethnic groups in southeastern Price County.  Tours are also available by appointment.

Items vary from week to week and depend on time of year and may include early bedding plants, rhubarb, herbs, maple syrup, cranberry products, berries, greens & lettuce, vegetables, honey, perennials & potted plants, apples, onions, garlic, peppers, and more. Jump River Valley Historical Museum Opens For the Summer Season

The museum displays a variety of town & logging displays & artifacts covering the period between 1890-1940. Permanent exhibits explore the history of lumbering in the area, farming, rural schooling, and homemaking. Tours are also available by appointment.
